About Me

Hi! Thanks for checking out Live, Love and be Married, I am so happy you're here.  I'll answer a few questions here so that you can get to know me better.

1.  Where are you from?
My husband and I live in a small town in Southern Saskatchewan, Canada.  We really love our little town.

2.  Why did you start this blog?
I started this blog with the hopes to share my thoughts and feelings with other ladies about the things I love - such as being a wife, nursing school, cooking and baking, crafts and anything new that I discover along the way.

3.  How and when did you meet your husband?
My husband and I were actually set up on a blind date by my younger sister and his younger brother.  Brett was in his fourth year of university and I was in my first.  Our first date was at a Tim Horton's on our university's campus (romantic, I know... But I will never forget that Timmies).  On June 29, 2013 we got married.  You can go here for more on our love story.

4.  Why nursing?
It was a bit of a round about way that I came to decide nursing would be my career.  I had originally planned to go into medicine to be a doctor.  But once I met Brett and decided I maybe wanted to be a farm wife, the busy life of a small town doctor didn't really seem to fit.  So I transferred into nursing - and honestly, it was the best decision I ever made.  I find that as a nurse, you get a special kind of relationship with your patients.  You are there every step of the way throughout their time in the hospital.  The impact that you can make on someones life as a nurse is huge, and I just love that.

5.  When did you start to love baking?
As a child in my grandma and baba's kitchens, I grew to love baking.  I like cooking, but for me it is nothing in comparison to baking.  For me, there is nothing like creating the perfect pie, or having you bread dough rise just right.  I find I am so much more creative and relaxed when I bake.

  1. [ Smiles ] I think that your blog is going to connect well with other ladies (I am not sure about it connecting with other guys such as myself).

A Canadian women who is in love with her husband is going to make an interesting read, since most people are romantic by nature.

Also, I wish you all the best with your blog!
